The first thing you need to check are your payroll reports, such as payroll activity, payroll register, and YTD verification report, to see where the discrepancy is coming from. If the discrepancy is from the payroll register report, it would be best to check the employee card file included on each pay run. On the other hand, if it's the payroll activity that has incorrect figures, then you can check the recorded pay runs. You can also check each payroll category used to make sure that they're assigned to the correct ATO reporting category.
