STP report rejected by ATO

Hi there,

One of the reports for STP reported has been rejected by ATO, but since then I have processed further payroll for this employee and they have all been accepted. I also checked the YTD amount is correct.

My questions are:

1. Would the old rejected report will remain the rejected status in MYOB?

2. If the YTD amount is correct, does that mean the latest figure has been updated despite the 'rejected' status on the previous STP report?

Thank you in advance. MV

  • Hi MV-8

Thanks for your post. Rejected reports will retain the rejected status as you don't resend that report. Each STP report send overrides the previous one, this means that if the latest report is accepted the YTD amounts have been updated with the ATO.

The post, Unsent or rejected reports in the Payroll reporting centre, has detailed information on this.

Please let me know if you need further help.
