STP Stage 2

Hello, we have just updated MYOB and I now can change to STP Stage 2. I'm just wondering if I can delay that process until after this payroll year ends? The reason being that I will have to process 30 odd employees who have been terminated in this payroll year, and it will save me a lot of time if I don't have to add them all in again and then terminate them again. Thank you.

  • Hi Samlghm

    Thank you for your post.

MYOB has obtained a deferral from the ATO until 1 January 2023 to move to STP Phase 2. This means you can wait until July 2022 to make the move.

When you are ready the instructions given in this help article will guide you through how to move to Phase 2: Getting ready for STP Phase 2.

  • Hi Samlghm ,

I have the same question, but I don't think it was answered by the MYOB moderator who has responded to your query.

      Hi emcaravans ,

I'm happy with that answer. I'm going to wait until July or even August to change over to Stage 2. That way there won't be 30 odd terminated employees to deal with. Will start off with a clean slate so to speak for the 2022-2023 payroll year.
