Superannuation Payment not in funds

Knew the processing times for cut off for Super (5-7 business days) Processed Super payments from MYOB to funds 10.56pm Tuesday 23 June. Funds were drawn from our Bank Account on 24 June.  Today 30 June funds have not arrived in the relevant employee funds.  WHY? where is the money?  You can transfer funds overnight in most banking environments.  These payments have Top Up Super implications if not received by 30 June.  Can someone please advise where they money is?

  • Hi JaneP,

Totally understand why this would feel stressful, especially with EOFY and top-up super timing in the mix. For Pay Super, the payment timeline is up to 7 business days for the contribution to reach the super fund, and the timing doesn’t include weekends or public holidays. So even when the money has already been drawn from the bank account, there can still be processing time before each fund actually receives and applies the contribution. You can also check the comment from this Community Forum post for more info the super changes.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

I processed employees super on Monday before EOFY for June pay up to that date and by Friday morning still not in my employees fund. Mind you I can pay their wages by EFT and on Thursday while they are standing in front of me (ANZ to CBA) it was in their account 2 seconds later...and I literally mean 2 seconds.

    Hi Albare JaneP,

I completely get why this feels frustrating, especially when the super payments were all made from MYOB on the same day. The key thing is that paying the batch on the same day in MYOB doesn’t always mean every super fund will show the contribution on the same day. Once the batch is processed, it goes through the clearing process first, and then each super fund applies the payment to the member account on its own timing. That’s why one fund can show it on 30 June, while another may not show it until 1 July. At the moment, Pay Super payments typically take around 3–5 business days to clear, depending on things like direct debit timing, fund processing times and authoriser approval times. MYOB also recommends allowing at least 7 business days, especially around super cut-off dates and EOFY, because the funds themselves can still take extra time to process the contribution after it has been sent to them. So in short, the difference usually isn’t that MYOB treated employees differently within the same batch. It’s that the receiving funds can finalise and allocate the contributions at different times. I also understand the concern where employees are trying to maximise the $30,000 contribution cap, because if a fund records the contribution on 1 July, that can affect which financial year the fund counts it in. With Payday Super starting from 1 July 2026, MYOB has already advised it is working on changes to support the new timing requirements, and the team is also exploring faster payment methods going forward.

For year-end payments, the safest approach is to allow extra lead time before 30 June so there’s enough time for the super funds to receive and allocate the contributions before EOFY.

    Regards,

    Sai

Now we find some funds received money on the 30 June, others with large amounts received 1 July !!

I have a priority support request in, still no reply.

No MYOB Moderators on here with an answer?

    This now has tax implications.

We are all now having to do SAME DAY SUPER, we were already doing this

What is MYOB doing with the money, where does the money go for 7 days?

Most banking environments process overnight, this is not acceptable

People check your Super funds, see how long it is taking for the money to be received
I am interested to hear if this 'our' problem or is there a delay for everyone?

Albare Exactly my point. ETF takes in some cases a few hours, depending on which bank, at worst received overnight. This is totally unacceptable.

    Doreen_P  Thanks for the reply.

I do not accept it should take this long. I need Myob to explain, when all Super payments were made on same day from Myob, how can money arrive in some of the Super Funds on 30 June and others on 1 July? I need to understand how this can happen.

Some employees maximising the $30K contributions limits, have now had their payments pushed into the FY27.

With Payday Super commencing 1/7/26, it will interesting to see what Myob can do to improve processing times.

Thanks Isaiah_C   I appreciate the reply, doesn't help our employees. I am currently discussing with the ATO as implications are for individuals not for businesses and I think this is unfair. I have been doing this for a long time, it use to be funds stayed open and accepted payments and dated as 30/6 if money was drawn from a businesses account prior to 30/6.  Rules changed which is unfair for employees. Already seeing issues with super payments made 1/7/26 'Pay Day Super' rule, which have not arrived, our company is compliant. Hopefully funds will appear tomorrow.
