Hi Aero63,
Thank you for your post. I'm sorry for not being able to respond right away. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
Regarding your issue with the incorrect choice of your employee for his or her TFN, to correct this situation, you can go to the employee's card details to change the TFN under the employee's payroll details >> taxes >> tax table. Please make sure to select OK to save the changes. Then, you can send update event to the STP reporting center to update information for the ATO.
You may also look through this Help article: Employee self-onboarding, which you might find useful.

I'm confused by this. Aren't we supposed to get something signed by the employee before we correct it? I had this same thing happen and I send an "update details" request. Apparently there was no info to update about TFN Declaration Form.

Hi ShelleyHilan
Yes you are required to get a new TFN Declaration from the employee - however you do not need to send it to the ATO - update the details on the employee card and the new details will be sent via your next STP2 report.
An employee can provide a new TFN Declaration when ever they like - aside from errors, circumstances do change. However I suspect MYOB's onboarding process does not allow more than one. Once 'boarded' the employee is no longer required to 'onboard' - perhaps MYOB needs a TFN Dec change procedure as well? Only kidding - I don't suggest this, I and many others would prefer they fixed all existing issues before adding more bells.
Regards
Gavin

Thanks gavin12345,
So far the only solution I have seen for this is "update it manually on the card file and it will be updated via th STP report". You are the first person that has agreed that you need to get the new TFN Declaration. Oh well, back to the manual process.

That is what I thought, hence asking the question, there should be an option to request the employee to resubmit their on-boarding. Thanks

Hi Aero63, and ShelleyHilan,
Thank you for your suggestions.
Apologies for the delayed response. I understand that providing employees with the ability to resubmit their onboarding forms could significantly streamline the data entry process. However, at this time, there's no feature that allows for a re-invitation to an employee post-form submission. I'd suggest sharing this valuable suggestion on our AccountRight Ideas Exchange board. Our development team frequently reviews these suggestions, and they could potentially influence future updates.
Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.
Cheers,
Princess
