Updated STSL Tax Table 24 September

Hi - is anyone having an issue with the new STSL tax tables released for 24 September 2025 not calculating correctly for some employees?  I have 4 employees with STSL, 2 are calculating correctly, the other 2 employees are $2 out?

  • Hi dddddddddd,

You're not alone, others are hitting the same thing after the update. The STSL withholding schedules and tax tables were updated by the ATO effective 24 September 2025, which explains the change. You can find more details at this link.

Yes correct, however, for a couple of my staff it is not calculating as per the new tax tables, $2 out so for one of my employees who does not claim the tax free threshold but has STSL, it is now calculating his net pay as $2 less in his pocket.  Clearly an error as these people with STSL are meant to be better off!

    Hey dddddddddd,

Thanks for the detailed note on your post. For the employee who isn’t claiming the tax‑free threshold and has STSL, but their net pay is $2 short, it’s best to reach out to our team and they’ll get this checked for you. You can contact them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Cheers,
