Hi, is it a problem from a BAS (GST reporting) point of view to delete a sales order (not an invoice) in a locked period?

  • Hi Ausrec,

Deleting a sales order in a locked period won’t mess with your BAS/GST as orders don’t hit BAS until they’re invoiced. The lock period might block you from deleting it though, so you may need to unlock or just mark it closed/cancelled. Check this article about locked periods if you need to make changes.  You can also ask for help from your accountant while doing this to make sure it won’t mess up any reports after.
