I usually create my IAS on my desk top but have to use the online version atm. I have changed the PAYG Withholding period to monthly however it still only displays quarterly dates for completion. Do I have to change the BAS period to monthly as well for the IAS period to appear?

Absolutely! You'll need to switch your BAS frequency to monthly as well. Setting both your PAYG Withholding and BAS periods to monthly should do the trick and show you the right dates for completion. To tweak this in the browser version, just hop over to Accounting > Prepare BAS > Create new > Report settings (you’ll find it on the right-hand side). For more info, please check out this link.

Thanks for that but when I do that the IAS then includes the GST as well. The IAS is only for recording the PAYG withheld, the BAS is then quarterly for the GST and last month of PAYG tax. In the desk top version it allows the monthly IAS for PAYG Withholding but the online version is including the GST on the monthly IAS.

I haven't been able to rectify my problem. The online version will only let me have one or the other. I haven't been able to have my monthly IAS and then quarterly BAS, it is one or the other. I lodge manually, not through MYOB but generate the document via MYOB. I didn't have a problem when using the desktop version, only the online version. Can I add the desktop version to my lap top?

You’re spot on! The online activity statement portal only lets you pick either BAS or IAS, it doesn’t allow both to be used side by side or swapped around in the same place.
