T1 prefill on STP

Hi,

Should T1 be prefilled on STP when I do Lodge Online for my BAS? All my other boxes are prefilled online but to get the T1 amount I have always to do a Lodge Manually run then transfer the T1 amount to the online version in order to complete the lodgment.

Thanks

  • Hi ,

The T1 field may be prefilled or need to be manually entered. The T1 field is for amounts posted to income accounts. If the figures aren't showing up automatically, you may need to enter them manually. Additionally, check the BAS settings to ensure the T1 filters are correct and that the accounts linked to the PAYG pay item are properly configured. I recommend reading through this link to understand how the activity statement is prefilled in the software. If there's any confusion, consulting with an accountant is recommended.

Feel free to post again if you need any other help.

    Thanks,
    Genreve

    Hi ianed,

Moving from AccountRight to MYOB Business can make the BAS fields feel like they’ve moved house a little. In MYOB Business Pro, T1 PAYG instalment income isn’t calculated through a dummy BAS run. The amount needs to be worked out from your records and entered manually when preparing the activity statement. If you’re using the income times rate option, enter the GST-exclusive instalment income at T1 and apply the ATO rate shown at T2. If the ATO has issued a fixed instalment amount instead, use the amount provided by the ATO in the relevant instalment field.

The MYOB guide explains how to prepare and lodge your activity statement: Lodge your activity statement. For the correct calculation method and amount for your business, it’s best to follow the ATO activity statement or check with your accountant. If you need further help with the setup, you can also contact our support team via the Contact Us page.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Hi Genreve. Me again! WRT the above I have now swapped over from AccountRight Plus to Business Pro and I can't work out or find out how to calculate my Income Installment Amount to put in at T1 on my BAS. I used to do a dummy BAS run Manually but can I do that on Business Pro? Or is there some Report I need to run? Thanks for your consideration. Ian
