I get that you need to access the file after canceling your subscription for your business audit. No worries, canceling your subscription just removes the file from the cloud. Since you have backups from different times, you can easily restore them offline and get your data back.

One of the many reasons you get conflicting advice is due to MYOB's confusing and ever changing naming of products. ChatGPT is also likely at fault. Then there are new and unexperienced forum/support staff.
As I think Genreve confirmed, provided you have backed up your online file, you can always restore it locally and access in - IF is is an AccountRight file. And it doesn't matter whether it is currently accessed online by desktop software or via the Browser.
This however does not apply to MYOB Business or Business Pro or Essentials 'files' or whatever the next name will be, as these files cannot be backed up by the user.
