We've made a change to the AccountRight Desktop app to remove the 30 minute session inactivity lock after hearing our community's feedback and consulting with the ATO. You should no longer be experiencing the inactivity timeout on the desktop, however it will still remain in place if you are using AccountRight in the browser as this remains in line with ATO requirements.

Does this mean MYOB admits the 20 minute lockout is unnecessary and isn't coming back?

I can confirm the inactivity timeout has been removed from AccountRight desktop. More information can be found on this post - we've updated it with the latest information!
