Two Factor Authentication

Hi All

Has anyone had to change the device that someone's 2FA is going to?

I have a staff person's login, that has requires a change to the contact that the 2FA is going to, so I was wondering how this can be done.

Is the 2FA able to go to an email address or does it have to be the app on a mobile?

TIA

  • Hi FelicityP,

Thanks for your post. Yes, it's possible to change the device to which someone's 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is directed. If you need to update the contact receiving 2FA for a staff member's login, please refer to this help article for more information: Switching your two-factor authentication device

Regarding your question about the destination of 2FA, it can usually be directed to either an email address or a mobile app. Some platforms offer both options, allowing users to choose based on their preferences or company policies. You can find detailed information about this on this help page: Getting help with two-factor authentication
