"Do not show me this again" and other ways to stop marketing notifications

When there is a pop-up when you open MYOB, for something like MYOB Assist, you have the option to tick "Do not show me this again."

My idea is to make it that when you tick that, you actually don't ever see it again. 

Also, on the Sales Register, there is a yellow warning banner at the top of the page that says "You no longer have access to share your invoices." You can click the x at the end of the banner, but it still appears every single time, trying to get you to upgrade.

My idea is to make it that once you close the banner, it no longer pops up.

MYOB has no shame, trying to push products by not allowing you to get rid of their annoying marketing. Don't bother with options to not see them anymore, if you are going to keep shoving it in our faces anyway.

    Completely agree MelHand. If we wanted in, we would have already. We don't need to be reminded that we haven't. This invoicing process is unsuitable for us, because other documentation is sent with the invoice. 

     

    Another case of MYOB not listening to their customers.

    What is the timeframe for having this very annoying banner removed?

    I would have had to 'x' this banner no less than 400 times by now....it's getting very old!

    We are changing this idea's status due to low community engagement (comments and votes) over the last six months. The idea remains in our developer backlog, but will be prioritised for review if it receives more votes.

    So.... just because nobody responded, MYOB is going to ignore the fact that they have spent money on getting developers to add in a non-functional tick-box option? Do we not pay enough for our subscriptions without being harassed to add new services?

    Yes Mel.  This is where good MYOB product ideas go to die.  

    Unfortunately no-one interacts with these ideas - whether it's because they don't bother or don't know this feed exists I don't know.  I have heaps of good ideas (& bugs) that I'm sure others find annoying too but they never get implemented 🥲
