MYOB does not have a solution for All Purpose Allowances in STP2.  All purpose allowances need to be reported separately to the ATO from hourly rate and most leave payments, but must be included in an employee's hourly rate for overtime, leave loading and cash out of leave calculations (not disaggregated).  Setting up numerous new overtime and leave categories for each individual's hourly rate to do this is NOT a solution.  Dollar values on entitlement reports are also incorrect as a result of not being able to link APAs to an employees hourly rate.   Please provide an option when setting up hourly rate categories to strip out APA to report when required, or when setting up allowance categories an option to add to hourly rate when required.   This has been an ongoing saga for over 12 months and needs to be addressed urgently please! ... HI, Is it possible to add a contact's name (and position?) alongside their phone number in the supplier/customer card?  There are lots of spaces for phone numbers, but nowhere to enter who's number it is. There is also limited space to write in the contact space.    I have multiple contacts in many companies I deal with and there isn't enough room to identify who is who within the company card. I am using AccountRight Plus AU 2023.5.1.4.   When I launch the application, my account password and a 2FA token are both required to login.    There is an option to trust the device for 30 days so that the 2FA token is not required during that period.   However, the password is still required and there is only an option to not require the password for a maximum of 12 hours. I don't require this level of security in my environment which is a PC that no one else uses. Ideally I would like to extend the period that a password is not required so that a password and a 2FA token are only required once per month. Is this possible to achieve? ... View more

how can I make the view of the document from the in-tray larger without having to download it? When I create a new bill and have the split screen. It does not matter how wide my monitor is I cannot increase the view, I have empty space on either side of the information and using the (+-) you end up with a scroll bar, which defeats the purpose of wanting to see the whole document, so it is readable.   This makes the process so much longer and time-consuming.    On the desktop, MYOB would open in Adobe without having to download it. ... On AR desktop you could choose to show the purchase number or the supplier invoice number when paying a bill, but the browser version does not give this option and when paying bills or allocating bank feed you are only given the option for the purchase number. Can we please have the Invoice Number showing. It is particularly difficult when there are many invoices for the same amount. The penalties are increasing for late super and the deadline is not the date the money has left the bank it is the date it is received and processed by the Super fund.  The date listed in the Manage Payments window indicates the date it was created, not the date approved or the date completed.  The date completed is the most critical date.    Can MYOB please show the actual DATE of completion for super as that seems to be the only thing that really matters from a compliance perspective.  To provide more detail, I'd suggest 2 more date columns in the Manage Payments window, Date created (current date field), date approved/authorised and date completed.  This gives total transparency to the business owner and the Consultant's/Bookkeepers/ BAS Agents and Tax Agents.  I think that this is critical information that the Business owner currently has absolutely no way of gaining.   "Show Super Processing Date" ... Could we PLEASE have cards that use the whole screen space instead of me going cross eyed trying to read a tiny font in fields at the top of the screen while there's a tonne of blank screen real estate just going to waste.   And before you say oh just use the browser version, it has bigger font -  the browser version of cards is missing a tonne of fields that we use in the desktop version every day, so we can't make the switch without losing functionality. ... The process of printing a packing slip without also printing an invoice is far too convoluted. The 'Print/Email Invoices' interface is very difficult to navigate and the lack of an immediate search field makes it hard to quickly find the correct invoice.   It would be much easier if there was an option or button to print packing slips while viewing an invoice. ... Hi MYOB Team,   I can see that this has previously asked by many other users in the "MYOB Community", and whilst they have all been replied to and then "closed" for comment, this hasn't rectified nor made the problem businesses face go away.   Can we please have either:   1. the ability to automatically pass on BPAY merchant surcharge fees to clients on invoices, just like we do with MASTERCARD and VISA; and/or 2. the abilitiy to switch off BPAY as a payment option, right now it is lumped in with Mastercard and VISA.   When we were part of the pilot program this was rarely an issue for us, but since being fully rolled out, regular users now know that by selecting BPAY as their method of payment they can avoid the surcharge fees. Initially after getting stung a few times we had to decide what level of fees we're prepared to cop? As a result we'd chosen to disable the payment feature all together for all "account clients" leaving it only available for Cash Sale Invoices and only if they're less than $500 because whilst this is a great feature the costs associated are NOT!   Kind regards   Suzi ... It would be excellent to see if a customer is on credit hold when you are processing payments  (Like it comes up when you are invoicing)  That red flag would alert you to check if that customer can come off credit hold. ... View more

We would really like to have a function for finding all duplicate sales invoice numbers and purchase order numbers.  The reason is that when a back order is created (either sales or purchase), we retain the original invoice/PO as this is the ONLY way to link it to the original order. We add a suffix for each back order eg -1, -2, -3 to identify that it is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd (sometimes up to 7th!) backorder relating to the original. I have posted another idea that suggests an option for this to be automated.... However, currently, this is a manual task and it sometimes gets forgotten. Having duplicate invoice or PO numbers creates a big problem for many companies, especially those that use automation for applying payments. We would like to be able to search for duplicates during our end of month procedures prior to sending out statements and remittance advices. ... View more

So MYOB, do you take any notice of customer requests and information, or just take the monthly fees? A post from 2013 requested a really basic option, default to today's date when entering an invoice. I would have thought it standard and a no-brainer, yet here we are 10 years later, and no sign of an improvement. I guess this will also be ignored, but at least I got to vent.  ... View more

When processing payroll, I record the payroll, and don't submit the STP report straight away, so I can check that job numbers have been allocated to all transactions by running a consolidated jobs P&L and comparing it to the whole company P&L.   I used to then be able to go to payroll reporting centre, and send the report with a few clicks once I'd confirmed everything was okay, or deleted and reprocessed any wrong entries.   Now that we've transitioned to STP phase 2: I click on Payroll Reporting Centre which opens my browser where I then have to click on Next before I can type my password and click on Sign in then I have to choose the company file then click on Payroll then click on Single touch payroll reporting then click on the relevant transaction which takes me to yet another screen where the send to ato button is waaaaaay down the bottom so I have to scroll down the page before I am finally able to send to ATO.   Was this user-tested before it was implemented? Was it only tested by people who use the browser version and not the desktop software. so they were already logged in? Or did MYOB simply ignore any feedback they were given?   Although I've been doing it for years, I can't remember exactly how few clicks this used to be - I'm thinking maybe 3 or 4 - but this new process ^^^ is absolutely ridiculous and will drive me insane every week. It still beats having to reverse pays just to change a job allocation. [I still think there has to be a better way to reverse pays while keeping an audit trail - particularly when the $ amounts aren't changing, but hey, that's a whole other issue.]    I don't even really mind having to log in to the browser, but you could at least take me straight to where I need to go, like lodging the BAS online.   MYOB currently has only TWO main features I use regularly that Xero does not have. If Xero gets their act together and introduces them before MYOB manages to bring AccountRight back to being the solid, reliable, user-friendly program it used to be, then I'll be making the switch. The race is on. I'd rather stick with MYOB but some days it seems every time I turn around I find another reason NOT to use it.
