EOY Salary Packaging error

When processing the pays for the year for an employee - I have missed exempting the salary packaging deduction amount from PAYG thus the gross wages are overstated as it has not taken off the salary packaging amount.

How is this fixed?- do I reverse the total wages / tax and process the totals again?

Hi @WD7 

Thanks for your post. If you have set up the salary sacrifice deduction category as per this help article, Salary packaging, go to that deduction payroll category and exempt it from PAYG. Then process a $0 pay with payment date as 30 June, wait for the report to be accepted and then check the YTD verification report.

Yes that worked very well - tick the PAYG exemption and process a 0 pay as at 30/6 and the ATO report included the salary packaging deduction.
