MYOB Accountright STP2?

Good Afternoon,  I'm looking to see what needs to be done to move to STP2?  We're currently offline & using 2022.9.  How do we allow secure access to bookkeeper/accountant etc?

  • Hi HD

Great to hear that you are looking into moving to Single Touch Payroll (STP) phase 2 - just a reminder the deadline is 31 December so good to get it all sorted ahead of that time.

In terms of getting set up, Help Article: Getting ready to STP Phase 2 would be able to assist with that process. It is worth mentioning that if your company file is stored locally it does need to be moved to the cloud to transition to STP 2. You can do this by opening the local file and going to File>>Go online (upload this file).

The Community would be happy to assist with any queries you do have in relation to that transition, however, if you would like to have some further more direct assistance you might want to reach out to an MYOB Partner - you can find an MYOB Partner through  our Advisor search .

      Hi Steven,

Once the transition to STP 2 has been completed, does the file have to stay in the cloud? Or can it be moved back offline, seeing that it connects to to ATO for each pay run anyway?

      Thanks

      Kathryn

Thank you very much Steven for your guidance & advice.

Once we have transitioned to the cloud & STP2, how and when can our relevant advisors access our file?  For security and privacy, are login records of this kept?  How do we manage this please?

      Hi HD

If you wish to invite an advisor/user to an online file then they would have access to that file once they accept that invitation to the file.

In terms of login records, you can manage user access through the Setup>>>User Access window. In addition to that, you view the login records (i.e. who logs in when) and changes to the journals through the Journal and Security reports ( Reports>>Accounts>>Journal and Security)

KateZi  The company file does need to be online to access the Payroll Reporting Centre for STP phase 2.
