Nil payrun recorded

Hi

 

While processing the first payrun for 2023 I have noticed a "Nil" payrun recorded on 23.12 after the actual payrun was processed.  Both have been sent to ATO and both accepted.  It seems very strange as the "Nil" payrun is recorded on the day of the actual payrun, around 2 hours later and for the period 23.12 to 23.12.  The payslips are blank for the "Nil" payrun.

 

Should I be concerned?

    Hi Hateworkin 

     

    Thanks for your post. In the STP reporting centre>>Reports tab click on the report for that $0 pay and check the Event type. If it is an Update event, a $0 pay run is created when you click on the Send update event button to update the YTD amounts with the ATO.
