I need to record payments of Rental Assistance for our employees which is FBT Free due to our location being remote . Can anyone suggest a wage category? and what ATO reporting category should be used when non taxable?

I'm sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. You will need to speak to your accountant or the ATO about the applicable ATO reporting category and whether the payment should be reported as an Allowance or Expense.
