Enter item code directly into sales order

Hi

I am using the item layout to generate a new sale. However the system does not allow me to enter the item code directly into the item code field, but rather it forces me to select the item code from the drop down menu.

How can I "copy" item codes from one invoice to another in a quick format?

Can I enter an item code directly in the new sales without using the drop down option?

Hi @_Conrad 

If you untick "Select Items by Item Name, Not Item Number" under Setup--> Preferences--> Windows, you would be able to enter the item code in the "Enter sales" window or even copy paste the codes from one invoice to the other without having to make selection from the drop down menu. 

Please let me know how you go on with that.
