I'm still having the issue that any salary sacrifices amounts are not being deducted when sending to ATO. I have checked all the ATO categories and they haven't changed from last year, when it worked fine. This has only been happening since rolling over to STP2 after July 1, 2022.

Hi Lisa,
It gross figure it reports should be less any deductions, which is not happening since rolling over. It was working fine up to year end June 30, 2022. So not sure why it isn't recognising any salary sacrifices.
thanks, Michelle

The key question is 'where are you looking?' Check the Income Statement on MyGov, the Salary Sacrifice will show as a negative amount. See this example (if it shows).

Thank you so much for this link. With Salary sacrifice i'm not getting the categories Salary sacrifice type S or O. Instead my only option is 'Salary sacrifice and RESC.

if it is salary sac then choose salary sacrifice

Don't confuse ATO instructions with MYOB instructions. MYOB doesn't provide the full range of STP options and may use different labels.
If an employee is Salary Sacrificing to Super, then in MYOB you need to ensure you are using a Superannuation type Payroll Category (that is it must appear under Lists > Payroll Categories > Superannuation) and the Contribution Type must be Salary Sacrifice (deduction). In 99% of cases, this payroll category needs to be assigned to Salary Sacrifice and RESC. If there is something unusual about the arrangement check with your tax advisor how it should be reported. MYOB will then report this to the ATO as both a Salary Sacrifice amount (Salary Sacrifice Type S on the ATO website) and an RESC amount.
If an employee is salary sacrificing to something other than super (for example a novated MV lease), the payroll category needs to be of type Deductions (that is it must appear under Lists > Payroll Categories > Deductions). This can then be assigned to Salary Sacrifice - Other Employee Benefits (which is Salary Sacrifice Type O on the ATO website).
