I've been importing my bank statments manually using .QIF files by the same method for years.
Today I went to import 2 statements as usual but only one statement was imported successfully. The other reported a successful import, it appears in my "Bank statement import history" but the transactions aren't visible in my bank account in MYOB Essentials.
Please help!
Cheers,
Greg

Thanks for your post.
I would recommend clearing your browser cache, once cleared can you sign into essentials and check to see if the transactions appear? If not, can you please clarify what type of transactions you've entered into Essentials?
Please don't hesitate to post again if you need help in the future.

Thanks Leneth.
I've tried that without success.
I'm importing a .QIF file with two withdrawals. Here are the contents of the file:
!Type:Bank
D05/12/23
T-0.44
PTransfer

D05/12/23
T-4.85
PSquare Fees

Thanks for the update. Can I please confirm if you've imported these bank transactions manually via a QIF file ?
Please let me know if you need further help.

Thanks for confirming that. The Bank transactions page lists the bank and credit card transactions that have been brought into MYOB Essentials. If you haven't set up a bank feed or imported a bank statement, this page won't show any transactions.
To view the manual transactions, you can go into the Transaction history window of Essentials, which is under header Banking.
If you'd like the transactions to appear within the Bank Transaction window, you will need to import the statements manually. Our article Import bank and credit card statements has instructions on how to do this within Essentials.
Please let me know if you have any problems with this.

Thanks for letting me know.. Apologies for the delayed response.
I would recommend checking the current financial year if it's the same as what you want to import. For example, when you import transactions for 2018 - 2019 the current financial year needs to be 2019.
Also, you would need to check and change the opening balance month if it's before the earliest date in the QIF, example of this is when importing from the start of the 2019 financial year this would need to be July 2018.
Please note, this can only happen if there are no transactions recorded in the file. You would need to check that both dates are correct for the QIF file to import. These dates cannot be changed once a transaction has been recorded in the file. The transactions dated within the current financial year and after the opening balance can be imported after the transactions have been recorded in the file.
Please let me know if you need further help.

I've checked all that. Same issue.
Please read our correspondence: "Today I went to import 2 statements as usual but only one statement was imported successfully."
Why does one import fine and the other not?
Please fix this bloody mess. Appalling.

Thank you for the patience. May I know if you have imported this statement that has an issue before? Also, are you importing them on a separate file or are they both on the same file?
Please let me know if you need further help.
Kind regards,
Sai
