Hi, I am trying to open invoices that have been captured with the app & sent to the tray, or are already attached to invoices in the Desktop version. When I click on them, Word opens and converts them to something unrecognisable. I have no problems viewing them in the online version...what am I doing wrong?? Cheers Carmel Re: Convert Quote to Sales Order - Status changed to: Open It makes me wonder whether they actually pay heed to whoever monitors these pages! I couldn't even convert it to an invoice then save it as a recurring to then re-enter it as an order. Re: Convert Quote to Sales Order - Status changed to: Open Any news on this??? My staff are frustrated that they have to come into my office and use my desktop version to do this simple task that should be part of any accounting software! Re: Convert Quote to Sales Order wow, one should not have to do this! It makes me think whoever is behind the 'latest' software has not a clue with how a business works or basically any idea about accounting! Re: Can't convert a Quote into a Sales Order How is this solved?? This was a feature in all previous older versions of MYOB and is a standard business practice. Why is this not included now?? Having to convert orders to invoices also affects GST reporting and general profit and loss etc. Re: Paying Super for Contractors Thanks Lynne! Re: Paying Super for Contractors Thank you Lynne, So you don't put them through payroll at all? Also how do you do your purchase orders to work out what is free from Super? Our Subbies get paid to complete a job, i.e 'construct a fence and hang gates'. This is where the grey area appears in the 'how to tell the difference between a contractor and employee' on the ATO site. They tick every box for a contractor except for the 'primarily for labour'. The rate they get covers them for the fact they are using their equipment, purchasing some materials, hire of equipment, travel & insurance costs etc. If we were paying a labourer to just turn up and we were supplying everything he would be on a much lower hourly rate. Do you just work out an average percentage that is factored into the price to cover the extras? How should they be invoicing us? I have requested the ATO to give us another ruling and also contacted our accountant but as of yet have heard nothing back from either. Cheers Carmel Re: Paying Super for Contractors We are in the same boat! How does this work with being STP compliant? As our subbies are paid for a mix of labour and materials (we had a ruling years ago that they were true subbies but one new contractor is now saying he is entitled to it. I am awaiting a ruling from the ATO but want to cover ourselves just in case.) How do you do your PO/ invoice to reflect the component that is subject to super? Can I just do one Pay run/ or payment for the qtr or do you apply it every pay week? Cheers Carmel Re: MYOB Backup states file has never been backed up Have come to this page to ask the exact same question! Need to upgrade from desktop v19 but to a Mac friendly program Hi, We are a small business that has been using Premier V.19 since day dot. Our problem is we all work on Macs and access the file through MS Remote desktop. Our file is stored on a very, very, old server. I know I am borrowed time but have been waiting for MYOB to bring out a truly online version or a program that is Mac-friendly. Every time I frustratingly have to hang on to confirm my file (that I own and have no support for) someone tries to talk me into going with a product that just won't work for us. I am curious about Business Pro being truly online but have noticed it only has 10 inventory items. If we abandon inventory, can we still keep all our item descriptions and use them on our invoices and purchase orders? Are item descriptions part of inventory even if we don't track them? Has anyone else any ideas for using MYOB in a Mac environment that can be accessed from anywhere? Cheers Carmel
