Invoice paid by wrong client
We manage an Owners Corporation which we issue the invoices from MYOB to the individual clients we manage through our R/E business. The invoices are paid from the rental funds back to the OC. I have accidentally paid an invoice meant for one client, from another clients funds. I have refunded the client from the bank account, and also created a sales return (credit) for the refund. I have also deleted the payment from the invoice that is now outstanding, but now my bank rec is out by that much. How do I apply the credit/refund for the client to the payment that was received so the invoice still remains outstanding for the other (correct) client?More ways to share your invoices!
Good news, Solmates! We heard you needed more options when sharing your invoices, so we made it happen! Now, when you share an invoice, you’ll see two new choices: Share link – Sends a short text with a shareable link to the invoice. Perfect for text messages, especially between iOS and Android. Share PDF – Creates a PDF straight away. Great if you want to download a copy or prefer sending the PDF itself. Best of both worlds 🙌 Just make sure you are on the latest version of the app! 😉 Earlier this year, we heard from our Solmates that sending a PDF via text using the “Share invoice” option wasn’t always working. Our dev wizards landed on a solution: instead of attaching a PDF, let’s send a short text with a link to the invoice. Easy peasy — no more failed texts, problem solved (or so we thought). We rolled out that solution and quickly learned that many of you really needed the PDF sharing option. As soon as we saw the impact, our product team sprang to action and, in record time, designed and released a solution that gives you both options. One extra callout worth sharing: emailing an invoice directly from the app using “Email invoice” hasn’t changed at all. That option still works the same way it always has and includes both the web view version and the PDF version of the invoice. At Solo, we always aim to get things right the first time — but sometimes it takes a second go. As luck would have it, our Solmates are absolute legends, and thanks to you, we were able to ship this update within three weeks… which, in dev time, is pretty speedy. As always, thanks for the feedback and ideas — we’re always listening 💜78Views1like0CommentsGST Just Got an Upgrade
Hi Solmates! A new Solo feature has just been released. Make sure you’re on the latest version to give the new feature a spin 🚀 You might’ve spotted a little teaser from us on the “Share Your Ideas” board about some shiny new updates to how Solmates manage GST settings in Solo. Well… the wait is over. We’ve been testing these new features with a small number of Solmates, and now we’re very excited to confirm it’s showtime! As of today (Monday 17 November), you’ll now be able to choose whether GST is included in your item price, or added on top. The old setup When we launched saved items earlier this year, they were limited to being entered as GST exclusive. What’s new and improved Now, you’ll be able to mix and match your item pricing as you prefer, and these prices will carry forward to the invoice and display using your Include GST/Add GST preference! Just a quick heads-up: invoices follow whatever GST preference you’ve set at the moment you create them. So if you jump into an invoice before updating your GST settings, you’ll need to adjust it yourself or start a new one once your preference is set. Come learn how it works Keep an eye out for a fresh post on our Learn board, it’s a full walkthrough with step-by-step examples, whether you’re brand-new to Solo (or GST!) or already rocking saved items. We also have our full Help articles available here.47Views0likes0CommentsChanges to Improve Invoicing
Change 1 - Default Payment Options Do Not Save For Recurring Invoices When you set up a recurring invoice there is no option to choose the customers default online "payment options" which means that once the recurring invoice is set up; every time the invoice must be sent out you must manually go into their invoice and change the online payment preferences so that the customer must pay the surcharge instead of the business. Which gets rather irritating when you have dozens of invoices to send. Change 2 - Bulk Delete Of Unnecessary Invoices With recurring invoices that pop up but there was no work completed that week, the invoices need to be deleted. Now there is a feature to select multiple invoices however the only option once they have been selected is to "Email" them or to "print PDF" them. If there was also a delete button there it would make my life a whole lot easier when having to get rid of invoices.80Views0likes3CommentsDebtors Invoice
I want to insert an item that does not show any value or quantity on an item invoice. Currently, I cut and paste the description onto an inserted blank line. Is it possible to have an item list for the inserted blank line? The information on the blank line changes between 5 items. CheersMatching Bank Transactions to Invoices and Activity Statements
Our MYOB Business is set up for a club. We have members (contacts/customers) and suppliers. We have annual /monthly fees. We have functions and sales from bar. What I would like to do is match a banking transaction with a invoice and contacts activity statement. When I go through the process of linking a contact to a banking transaction, it does not appear on the activity statement or the invoices. I have also attempted to match transactions to Invoices. This also does not work - while I get the "success" advice - the only item that remains matched is the banking transaction, which again still has not appeared on the contacts activity statement. If I MANUALLY record a payment - it works. We got MYOB so there was NO MORE MANUAL ENTRIES for $transactions. I have searched the forum / guidance / help videos and I think we are doing everything correctly... See file attached Please help.Invoice PDF attachments
Hello, Is there any way to make PDFs included by default when invoices are sent to customers? I am certain the PDF option was previously "sticky" so it retained whatever was selected last time, and I had it turned on, but perhaps a recent update has changed this behaviour? One of my customers has complained this morning that they did not receive a PDF invoice, so after I had a look I discovered the PDF option was not checked when I used the share function, when previously it was. It is just a small thing, but it is something else I'll need to remember to do each time I send invoices out. A lot of my larger clients have automated systems that only look for PDF attachments and don't know how to click buttons in emails to retrieve invoices. Thanks, Kylie.SolvedRequest for Clarification on Business Verification and Personal Information Requirements
I am seeking clarification regarding the recent business verification request, which appears to require excessive personal information. We do not use your online payment services and only use MYOB for invoicing and bookkeeping. Identity verification should be the responsibility of the ATO, and providing a valid ABN ought to be sufficient. We take privacy seriously and aim to comply fully while avoiding unnecessary exposure of personal information. Could you please specify under which law or regulation MYOB is authorised to collect personal details of all shareholders, rather than just key officers or directors? Additionally, I would appreciate details on how MYOB safeguards the security and privacy of this sensitive data. While committed to complying with all legal requirements, we seek to understand the basis and justification for this level of data collection. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.ALL Invoices Not Showing
Hi all, For the past three days, I have been trying to view all, in progress and completed Invoices. Nothing is showing. So to confirm I am on a desktop, I go to sales in the menu on the left and click invoice. No matter what I do with the menu tabs across the top, I can not get any invoices to show. Currently, I have it set to all and the date range for this entire financial year and nothing shows. Can anyone help? I figured it is something wrong with the software, but after three days I thought it would be fixed. Thanks.
