Inventory import

Hi,

Can someone please help me with ideas regarding a constantly failing Inventory Adjustment import?

I'm new to MYOB and trying to import about 1,300 items (account, amount, date, journal number, item number, memo & quantity as header) and am only succeeding in having the first line successful.  I've tried the entire file and smaller files...down to about 10 lines...and the import is still not working.

I've tried both csv and txt with no difference in the fail.

I've also tried exporting an existing file from MYOB and copy/paste data in as values to keep the previous formatting.  Still no luck.

It seems insane to me that this is not working...

Any ideas?

    Hi LisaBetts,

Welcome to MYOB! You’ve already done a great job trying to troubleshoot this yourself.

Inventory adjustment imports can be a little picky, so it’s not unusual to hit a few bumps along the way. A handful of things can cause the import not to go through, such as hidden blank lines, mismatched locations, unbalanced transactions, or other formatting quirks that usually show up in the import error log. There are also a few handy tips to keep in mind when importing, which are covered in this link.

If you’ve already given those a go and the import is still not playing nicely, the best next step would be to look at the import error log, as that will usually point you to what’s actually causing it to fail.

    Cheers,

    Princess
