Create a Copy of MYOB company file

Hi there,

Please can you let me know how I can create a copy of our MYOB online file so that I can test some importing options.

Thanks

  • Hi Sam,

Thank you for providing the screenshot. I've made some adjustments on the backend. Could you please attempt to log in again and check if the issue has been resolved?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
    Regards,
    Earl

    Hi Sam_P

If as your image suggests, the test file is in your Library, I can't see how anything Earl_HD can do will help you sign in. Plus you never explained why you cannot sign in. Is it that you don't have the offline password? Try leaving it blank, or you will need to get it reset. Or is there another issue? Do you get any error message? What happens when you try to log in. More information will assist with a speedier resolution.

    Regards

    Gavin

    Hi Gavin

I have tried logging into the Test file with the same login details as the file it was created from and Adminstrator.  The error message is attached.

I cannot leave the login fields blank, see attached.

I don't know what anyone can do to help either. However, I do need a Test file so that I can test importing some data.  Would there be anyone who can help me from beginning to end of setting up a test file that I can log into?  Would the best option be to call support?

    Regards

    Sam

    Hi Sam_P

When the file is offline, the only way to log in is via the user name and password - these would have been created before the file went online. Most online user log in via their myMyob account and so soon forget the offline passwords.

Options - send the file to MYOB to reset the password (or there are others who do this too).

Or, create a new test file. Log into online file, change the Administrator password or create a new user and password, then create the backup and restore, repeating how you created original test file.

    Regards

    Gavin
