MYOB Accountright will not complete login this morning

We are using Accountright SE - desktop. The new online login has been working for a week or so, but this morning an update must have happened, and the login process will not complete. 3 (all) logins are affected. I cant access my own accountancy software on my own computer. here is a list of the steps:

  1. open myob via start button - working
  2. click which data file to open - working
  3. chrome pops up with myob online login. - working
  4. enter creds and click enter - works
  5. receive email through outlook. - working
  6. copy 6 digit code and past to chrome field. works
  7. the "Open MYOB Accountright?" security message pops up. - appears to work??
  8. But MYOB does not open. yes you can jump to the online version, but we dont use that as there have been synchronisation issues.
  9. So - what?? login didnt work. try again. this time you dont get asked for creds, just goes straight to the myob help page that pops up with the login.

Have tried:

  1. clear browser cache
  2. reboot server

    Thanks for the detail 147292​ 

    I finally got the bottom of our specific issue. the HKCU edit first posted by JuliePTE​  and again by 147292​ is the correct fix. In our server RDP environment though we needed to action the HKCU regedit on every terminal session, not just the administrator login.

    Ugh, I am having the same problem today. Spent an hour with on the phone with MYOB but no luck.   Unfortunately, I don't understand any of what you are suggesting so waiting for my IT guy.

    Yes that is how HKCU works. CU means "Current User" i.e. per each user which is currently logged on. Your IT should know this. This should be a very basic fix for an IT person.

    FYI your solution does not work.

    My team has been troubleshooting the problem and know what the issue is.

    This cannot be resolved by the end user, your software has an issue. Please advise your dev team.
