It is not an intermittant problem !!!
This is a problem that is constant since we upgraded to 2023.8
Stop treating every long term user like dic*heads ..... andfix the issue.

No - we know how to change a password.
Our system has recently started this as well.
Even if you sign out and shut the computer down. when you open MYOB it no longer asks for a password. I am only admin and no changes were made. This is extremely dangerous. THIS IS OUR ACCOUNT SYSTEM BEING LEFT UNPROTECTED.
WHAT HAS CHANGED. I CANNOT FIND A SETTING TO FIX THIS

It is an Online File.
Nobody has changed users settings.
The password stopped being asked for after we were upgraded to 2023.8.

Sorry, but this is not a workable solution.
If you Sign out from Accountright via the Services tab, when you resign in, you have to enter your Userid and do a Two Factor Authentication everytime.
The way it was previously worked well.
The Userid came up automatically and you just had to enter a password.
Every 30 days, you had to enter a Two Factor Authentication code, which we could accept.
Now, it just goes straight into MYOB, or if we follow your suggestion, we have to enter everything every single time - its one extreme or the other.

You have customers leaving for other platforms and customers with exposed data becaus of flaws in your system.... (Some have had computers stolen leaving their financial records open - this is a SERIOUS problem)
And nothing has been done. There is no need to try and guess what users want. There are already TRIED and PROVEN security protocols in pace on many other platforms that are simple and WORK

Absolutely no fixes for this problem included in the update...
Lucky I wasn't holding my breath...
Obviously the problem of data leaks and financial security is not serious enogh for them to regard it as urgent

Why don't they just do what all other major software platforms do for security
- Have standard login credentials/password
- 2FA (but optional)
- If not a trusted device then ALWAYS log users out NO MATTER how they shut down. (you shouldn't have convoluted methods to sign out and exit the software).
- Optional Trusted device (but must be set by Administrator with a set time limit)
Its simple and effective
How did they get it so wrong...????

Thank you for the post and for letting us know. I'll be more than happy to help you with this. Try to reset your password by going to Setup>>User Access and select the relevant account in the list of company file users. Changing and resetting user passwords, has detailed information and instructions to assist you with this.

We are experiencing the same issue, ever since we upgraded to 2023.8.
None of the solutions offered on this post work.
Can someone explain what is happening please & why it was changed.

Hi Sharon_BCT,
Thank you so much for your post and I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues when logging into your account.
Are you inquiring about an online file or an offline file?
If the file is online, it's probable that someone has configured your User Access to permit you to access the company file using the my.myob username and password. If it's set up in this manner, you won't be prompted to log in with a username and password; this step is bypassed.
