Not required to enter password for accountright

All of a sudden we are not being required to enter our password when  opening account right. Can someone tell us how to reset so the password is required when you open the file everyday

    What ??

     

    We log out at the end of every work day.  

    We log in every morning. 

     

    The process has been the same for the last 8 years of having MYOB.

    But now we are not prompted for a password, ever since upgrading to 2023.8.

    Thanks for getting back to us. We are sorry that you are having difficulties logging in to your account because it is not prompting you to add your password. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. 
     
    On this matter, for AccountRight live you may go to Services >> Sign out from AccountRight >> then login again. That will make the system prompt you to add your email address and password when logging in. However, for the browser version, I want to confirm that we have rolled out some changes regarding 2FA. The automatic login is a known feature that has been introduced as an upgraded security measure.

    Ok

    Following your instructions, that forced a password to be entered. 

     

    However, I exited MYOB & then logged back in again & it didn't ask for a password.

     

    So, are you saying that we now have to Click on Services & Sign out from Accountright Live every time now ??

     

    This has obviously been a change with the 2023.8 Update.

    Thank you for taking the time to confirm this with us. 
     
    You are correct that every time you log out to your AccountRight, you would need to click on Services then Sign out from AccountRight. These changes were implemented as part of enhanced security measures. Rest assured that the security of your account is of utmost importance to us. Thank you again for your patience and cooperation in this new update.

    This is incorrect and as detailed on many other threads this is not working.... even when you sign out

     

    all of our computers DO NOT request sign in the next day leaving our data completely exposed. 

     

    Some have had computers stolen recently leaving their financial and employee data exposed

     

    Feel free to read this one as an example

    Re: Myob no longer requiring password to log in (no settings were changed) - DANGEROUS

     

    When you exited MYOB you were automatically signed out... perfect

     

    Previously everyone was happy with that. All you need to do was provide an option to request 2fa each time for those that were more security concious.

     

    This is not a good look for MYOB and you would be better off in future asking you customer base about for their opinion prior to such extreme security changes

In the meantime, you'll need to sign out through Services >> Sign out from AccountRight Live. Please note that logging out using File >> Exit will not sign you out.
