Unable to open Sample Files (2022.9)

AccountRight Plus (Ver 2022.8) will not open the Clearwater sample files (Ver 2022.9) & produces an error box to say the file can't be opened by the current version of MYOB

 

Any advice??

    The reason you can't open the Clearwater trial files is due to the version is higher than the one you are currently using. You will need to download the same version files for the version you currently have installed.

     

    I have linked a Help Article on using the sample file company file which has steps on how you are able to download and open up the version that you need. This may require downloading a previous version of AccountRIght and upgrading the sample file to your 2022.8 version.

    Hi AlisterML 

     

    I suggest you try again and unzip and change the file name to ensure you are using the right file. I just downloaded the samples.zip file again, unzipped and tried to open in AR2022.11. Messages came up advising that the file was a AR2022.9 file and did I want to upgrade. I chose Yes, file upgraded and opened as expected.

     

    The expiry date in the current samples.zip (FYI I tried Plus and Premier files only) is 30 Sep 2025. If you are getting an expired message or file opens read-only, I suspect you are mixing up the file at some point with an older copy on your computer. Perhaps delete all and try again.

    Hello AlisterML 

     

    We do also have sample Clearwater files available for download from our Help Article on the error message your Clearwater sample company file has expired

    If you are following the steps within the Help Article and you are still getting the error message I would suggest downloading one of the sample files available. 

     

    Please let me know how you go.
