Can't change transaction date to a different month

If I open a transaction window and click in the date field there are 'Previous month' and 'Next month' buttons. These used to work as advertised but now if I click either of these buttons the date window closes and the date remains the same.
I can change the date to a different day within the current month by clicking on it, but I can't change months.

Also, if the last few days of the previous month appear at the top of the date window, I can't select one of these either. The cursor changes to a circle with a slash through it to let me know it's not allowed.

I can, however, type a date in a month other than the current month and it is accepted. This is now the only way to change the month of a transaction.

I'm sure this behaviour is new and the date window used to function as you would expect.

    Hi SteveB0000,

It sounds like the previous month and next month buttons aren't responding, but manually typing the date still works. That's a bit odd! Would you mind clearing your browser cache or trying a different browser to see if that helps? Also, checking in an incognito/private window might be worth a shot.

If the issue persists, reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant MOCA or submit a case via MyAccount so they can further investigate.

    Regards,

    Sai

Thanks for the reply. I cleared the cache in Safari on my Mac mini and rebooted but it made no difference.

Also, everything behaves as described above in Safari on my iPad Pro.

However, the 'Previous month' and 'Next month' buttons do work in Chrome on the Mac. They used to work in Safari.

    Thanks again.

I'm having the same issue. Works in Chrome but not Safari.

    Hi FJM3,

Sometimes, browser cache and cookies can cause unexpected behavior in certain fields. You might find that clearing the cache and cookies in Safari resolves the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion Earl but it didn't work. Clearing cache is always my first goto. It's becoming a habit having to move from browser to browser to resolve random MYOB issues.

I received a reply to my support ticket that says "Since your MYOB application works perfectly on Chrome, this confirms that there are no issues with our service." I've replied that I don't agree and asked that it be passed on to someone who can do something about it.

I suspect this issue will just get added to the list of things in MYOB that frustrate me.

I pursued this and, to its credit, MYOB support spent some time online with me yesterday during which I demonstrated the problem. Today I received an email that contained

"I wanted to inform you that I have raised an enhancement ticket for the issue you reported. Our development team will review the request as part of their ongoing improvement process."

    🤞
