Hey MJ19153,
When entries you’ve already reconciled show up again, it usually means something in those transactions has changed since the original reconciliation. Best bet is to create a reconciliation set for a future date. Check out the steps below:
- Click Banking > Reconcile Accounts.
- In the Account field, click the expander arrow and select the account that's out of balance.
- In the Bank Statement Date field, enter "31/12/9998".
- Tick all transactions that appear in the list.
- Copy the Calculated Statement Balance amount into the Closing Statement Balance field. This should result in a $0.00 out of balance.
- Click Reconcile > Reconcile.
- Click Undo Reconciliation.
- In the "Undo Last Reconciliation" window, it is mentioned the last reconciliation cannot be undone entirely, make sure to create a backup of the file before clicking Undo Reconciliation.
- Enter the original statement date again and click Reconcile.
If you're still having issues with bank reconciliation, you'll have to undo the reconciliation back to where the transactions reappear and then redo them.
Cheers,
Doreen
