Bank Reconciliation issues

I have a client on MYOB that I'm trying to assist.

They continuously have issues with their bank reconciliation. At 30th April 2025 I reconciled the bank account and everything worked fine. There was for whatever reason outstanding transactions from 2024 but i entered the bank balance, cleared all the transactions and everything was correct.

Come to processing the 2025 financial statements last month and again all these are outstanding. I undid the reconciliation to 27th June as i had done in the past but now the bank just wont rec.

I emailed MYOB support twice over the last three weeks but no response. Does myob no longer provide email support?

    Sounds like your client's bank rec has been a bit fussy for a while. Based on what you’ve described, there might be some hidden transactions that aren’t showing in the bank rec window.

    I’d suggest running through the steps Princess shared in this thread first; this will reveal any hidden transactions on the reconciliation window. If it’s still out of balance after that, the best next step is to get in touch with our support team so we can take a closer look at what’s going on with the reconciliation.

  • Thanks, i already did the above however the transactions remained outstanding when i undid the future dated transaction so not exactly fixed.

    I have now just done a receive money journal against accountants adjustment account for the total of old transactions and will need to make adjustments in the financial statements but at least this way the client can continue with the reconciliations and the old transactions have been cleared.
