Sounds like your client's bank rec has been a bit fussy for a while. Based on what you’ve described, there might be some hidden transactions that aren’t showing in the bank rec window.
I’d suggest running through the steps Princess shared in this thread first; this will reveal any hidden transactions on the reconciliation window.
