Restrict employee from viewing dashboard

Hello MYOB Support

Now that the desktop version of AccountRight is retiring soon, I am being encouraged to switch the desktop files to the online version. My one big worry is that employees will now be able to view the financial details on the dashboard screen, which I don't want them to have. Currently I have employees restricted to sales & purchases entry only and don't want them to view any other financial information. I understand that users can be set to restricted access but how can I be certain that when employees log in they can't see the dashboard or any other financial information. Any help, assistance, suggestions and reassurance will be greatly appreciated.

Hey now I'm freaking out! I used a different address to login with employee restrictions and the dashboard appears with the company financials! This is NOT IDEAL, my client doesn't want employees viewing the financial position of the business. How can this be stopped and restricted?

      Hi Lisa_BBP,

I understand that you would like to restrict some users when accessing the Dashboard or the online version of Accountright, please refer to this helpful article for the detailed information.

Feel free to write a post if you need further assistance.

      Cheers,

      Jem

Thanks for your reply Jem, but I think there is something really wrong with user access. I spoke with a live agent via MOCA and the process to disable employees or users from seeing the dashboard or reports for that matter, is extremely complicated and confusing. While I was able to restrict the dashboard viewing there was no way to disable the employee from accessing reports which defeats the purpose of the employee having a visual on company accounts. The only way to disable reporting was to disable other functions that the employee needs access to. XERO has a much better option and I will be referring my client to switch as I don't trust MYOB anymore.
