Employee Income type contains invalid data error when lodging STP

We are lodging a number of payruns through STP for a client that has not done this. A number of the original ones were rejected. And now we are getting "acccepted with errors"  The error is below:

  • Employee income type contains invalid data. Check the field hasn’t been left blank, doesn't contain an extra space at the end of the value and doesn’t contain any invalid characters.
    (ATO error code: CMN.ATO.GEN.XML03)

Thing is - there is NO WHERE in this area where invalid data etc can be - as the income type is a drop down box.

We have no idea what is going on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi Tmba_Accountant

Generally this error means that there's an invalid character somewhere in your payroll information in MYOB. You'll need to check and remove any invalid characters in your employee cards or in the payroll category names.

I'll provide you this Help Article, Fix rejected reports in Single Touch Payroll, that has detailed information to assist with this.
