Error: There is already a user with this email. Enter a different email.

Hi, I am unable to add an advisor because I get an error saying "There is already a user with this email. Enter a different email." However, I don't have a user with that email. Does someone know why this could be happening? Thanks :)

  • Hi Doreen! Thanks for getting back to me.

     

    I wish this were the case, however, like I said in my initial post, I do not have a user with that email in my list.

    This was the first thing I checked, and I've double checked mutplie times.

     

    This is what led me to think there's an issue with the software. I'd like to get support from a technical support person. But there does t seem to be an easy way for me to find this kind of support.

     

    Can you please help me find someone who cna help? Thanks

    Hi zaycanters

     

    It looks like you're trying to add an advisor, but hitting a snag with the email address. That error usually pops up when the email you're trying to use is already tied to another user, active or inactive. To sort this out, you might want to double-check your list of users—both active and inactive—to see if that email is already in use. If you find it there, you can either reactivate that account or update the email to something different. That should clear things up!
