Hours needed in payroll details

Hi,

I have employees who are casual on an as needed basis.

Not on a set hous per month etc.

Under the salary and wages tab, I've selected hourly under pay basis.

Pay cycle is monthly.

You have to then select how many hours in a pay cycle which well then populate an annual salary amount which will appear on payslip.

This field will not allow a 0 figure.

What do you select if the employee has no set hours please.

  • Hi Rebecca16

That is correct, you do need to put a value on the Hours in the monthly pay period on the employee's card. This component will be used in conjunction with other values to determine the Standard Pay of the employee along with the annual salary (which is added to the payslip).

It should be noted that while the annual salary can't be removed from the pay slip, you can zero out the number of hours in the Standard Pay of the employee for Base Hourly to only pay them via timesheets hours or the amount entered when producing the pays.

  • I also are having the same problem, i have casuals paid weekly with no set hours and paid for the different hours they work eacj week. Now they have payslips that show a salary for the year. and also my full time staff have negative annaul leave. Why has this happened?
