Negative amounts putting my STP/Payroll Activity Summary Out

Hi

 

My STP Report is not matching my Payroll Activity Summary due to negative amounts that were put through in the allowances section.  Basically I get the below advise;

 

If you see a negative amount for an ATO reporting category on an employee's Summary of Payments report, this amount will be reported as zero to the ATO. To fix it, you'll need to reassign this value. We recommend seeking advice from your accounting advisor for help.

 

Can anyone help me on this issue as I need to rectify and fix prior to lodging for the year.

  • Hi, did anyone come back to you about this?  I have the same issue but mine relates to a final pay processed at the start of July where I have a negative amount to gross wages to adjust for annual leave taken in final week of work that was previously paid as gross wages in June, so my verification report doesn't match my payroll reports, even though the pay processed was accepted through STP.  The other odd thing, if you go into the individual's summary, the amount is showing there as a negative, just not in the verification report..
