Onboarding and Super

Hi,

I wanted to use the new feature Employee self onboarding, which i think would probably be great, but i dont understand why i need a default super fund. Is there such a thing nowadays? people have the right to choose thier own super fund. I have never set a a default super fund in our company as we dont have one. Does this mean i will never be able to use this feature.

Michelle

  • Hello Mitch6810

You will need to set up a default super before you are able to use the onboarding feature.

This does not mean that they will not be able to select their own, this is for when an employee doesn't currently have a super they will be able to choose the default one.

To set a default super fund you go to the Setup menu > General Payroll Information > Default Superannuation Fund.

    Hello Mitch6810

Your default super fund should suit your industry and business requirements.

As this is a business/personal choice we're not able to provide any advice on which fund to choose.
