STP reporting while in VA

As we have been in voluntary administration during this financial year, we now need to submit STP reports while we have been in voluntary administration under a new ABN branch number.  If we take a copy of our myob data file via a backup and rename it, do we need another licence to be able to process a negative payroll for those payrolls processed prior to VA so we end up with the STP report while only in VA? which would enable us to submit the STP reports under the new branch number and do finalisations for the VA period?

    Hi KyleeB1 ,

    There are a few things to consider. You might need a new license for the ABN branch number. The approach to STP reporting will depend on whether you plan to start from the beginning of the payroll year. And also, you can clear pay history before generating a bank file. 

    It's important to consult with your accountant first, especially since there are already processed payrolls involved.
