Superannuation

Hi,

 

I have been completing payruns for my employee/s. However, it seems it is miscalculating the superannuation for the dashboard 'superannuation payable'. But is correct in reports and on payslips. 

 

How do i adjust this so the dashboard sits at the correct amount.

    Thanks for your post. It's great to have you here in the Community forum.

     

    In this matter, you may need to check the percentage of the super under the superannuation guarantee to make sure it doesn't have a threshold and if the super calculation basis is 10.50%.

  • Hi, hoping you can help me. I basically only use MYOB for STP reporting.  I pay employees' super directly to their  super funds.  When I open up MYOB it shows "Superannuation Payable  $231,999". 

    I'd like to know how to remove this.  

    p.s.  SOOOOO disappointing that MYOB phone supprt is no longer available. (Haydon, Kelly & Regan were all amazinglly helpful!)  I;m sure this could be expalined to me by phone  . . . but phone suport no more  :(

    Thanks for your post. And I am sorry to hear about your experience. I understand that situation made you upset. 

     

    As for your concern, I understand that you pay your employees on Super Funds but it shows on MYOB under Superannuation payable and this is the one that you wanted to remove or delete.
     

    You can only delete a superannuation pay if it hasn't been used in employee pay. In your case, my recommendation for this is to record it for spend money to balance your bank transaction. And also to have a record on MYOB that you have a payment.

  • Hi Celia, & thank you for your reply.  

    haI don't use MYOB to balance my bank account or anything like that. 

    I only use it to fulfil my STP obligations. i.e.  Everytime I pay an employee I submit details to ATO through MYOB. 

    I pay wages directly from bank account & similarly I pay employees' super guarantee payments directly from bank account to their superannuatuon fund. 

    I just don't like that every time I log in to MYOB, it states on the pening page that I have "Superannuation Payable". 

    The amount currently showing is $231,999.99

    This is what I would like to remove.

    I understand your concern and I know that is frustrating on your end. However,  In this matter, your payment should be recorded as Spend Money on Pay Super. And make sure that you record it using the correct linked account.
