Editing customer name while actioning a sale invoice
Why can't I edit a customer's details in the sale invoice without having to go to contacts.

Welcome to the Community Forum! I get how it can be a bit of a hassle not being able to edit a customer's details directly on the sale invoice. This is because the invoice uses information from the Contacts section to keep things consistent. So, to change a customer's details, you'll need to do it in Contacts first.
