2 years missing

Please excuse the "location" above as there is no right location for my problem. I run a 2016 version of Account Right Standard. I only use the software for our small investment company, so I normally only use it every month or so. I decided to finalise the year 2023 figures and found that I was locked out of my program. After contacting MYOB they provided me with a licence file, which I applied and the software was again open to me. When I tried to enter the few remaining entries for the year, prior to doing the end of year conversion, I discovered that the Company Information Year was showing the "Current Year" as 2021. The figures on a printed balance sheet appear to be from that period. Has anyone heard of this happening before?

    I am no further advanced in solving this problem. I am attaching a snip of the screen after I "open a company file" from the Welcome Screen. What are the samples? Are they the actual "other" files I have been looking for? If not, can anyone please inform me where any other myob files maybe hiding on my laptop.

    Hi Bazzaboy 

     

    It seems there are atleast 6 .myox files in your Library (starting with Lechte) - try each one to see if it has the missing transactions in it. You can open as read only - there is no need to Confirm the file, not until you have located the correct one. Once you do locate it, I recommend you change the file name to make it clearer which is the correct file. If not sure where the files are stored, do a search on your computer for one of the file names. Usually stored under Documents  > MYOB > My AccountRight Files

     

    Always open using Open rather than from the Recently opened list.

    Hi Gavin

     

    I am indebted to you for helping me to find the file location. I have confirmed it to be the file I am looking for thru read-only. A couple of further matters if I may. Are you able to tell me whether the confirmation file emailed to me by MYOB can also be used to verify this correct file. Also, how do I change the file name? Once again, thank you for your valuable assistance.

    Hi Bazzaboy,

     

    I'm glad your issue has been fixed. 

     

    Generally, the license file is just the same for files with the same company file ID. I would suggest uploading the license file you previously received to the application. If this does not work, Send me a private message with your company file ID, build number, and serial number, and we'll generate a new license file.
