Inventory numbers different between computer and online versions of MYOB

Hi there, I've been trying to troubleshoot some weird things that are happening with our inventory and I came across 2 weird things that are very problematic.

 

Inventory changing overnight

 

First off, inventory seems to change overnight. On Friday we had 300 kg of out Roasted 888 coffee and on Monday when I went to do the stocktake it was close to zero and there was nothing in there that would have caused it to drop that much. We sent out about 70kg in orders so it should have been sitting at around 228. I  couldn't work out why but I wanted to make sure it was right so I put through a stocktake adjustment. Because the stock was showing as .75 and the actual count was 228 so I put through a variation of 227.25 to get it to 228. This was all on the online version and done last night it was showing 228. 

 

Then when I checked this morning, as per the screenshot here nothing else has changed between then and now however instead of it showing 228 kg, it's showing 309 kg. The number has changed overnight somehow? But also weirdly the on hand number before the stocktake was 228 which is also super weird unless I'm misreading it or something?

 

Online is different to Windows version

 

The other issue I noticed is the numbers are differnet in the online version and the Windows version. This screenshot is the same item this morning, same time, from the Windows version and it shows completely different values for the stock. All the other numbers are the same but the 'On Hand' numbers are all different for each one. 

 

Inventory is a really big deal to us, we really need to get this right and we're trying our best but this just seems like there is something weird going on with the data? Unless I'm missing something really obvious.

    Also not sure if this matter but in the screenshot above from the online version it shows 888 Roasted as 309 'On Hand' whereas the correct number is 228. If you look at the inventory number in the items area it correctly shows 228. Not sure if that matters but those 'on hand' numbers just seem to be all wrong. 

     

     

    If I know those numbers aren't real, it's weird and annoying but we can just ignore them. The bigger problem is inventory randomly changing overnight.

    Thank you for your post. I understand how important the inventory on your business and we are sorry that you are having difficulty accessing your inventory on desktop version and on online version. 

     

    To address the issue, currently, the AccountRight in-browser experience does not offer full functionality as the Desktop application. As such it is not currently a replacement for the software, only an additional way for clients to access their business data to record transactions. We do recommend accessing your file on a desktop version. 

     

    Also, if you haven't already clearing your cache file is a good idea as some values could be stuck in that which could cause on-screen to report not as intended. Please check out on this, clearing the AccountRight Cache for the process. Once done, kindly check on your inventory.

    I haven't noticed the numbers changing again for no obvious reason. I'm making sure we use the windows version as the source of truth if the online version is inconsistent.

    Hi thedannorris,

     

    Thank you for getting back to us and providing an update. Sorry to hear about the experience. I have checked your account, and I have found that your file is not on the cloud. The reason when you open your file online it shows differently when you open your software file. Could you please try to log out and log back in and check on your inventory?

    That seems very unlikely. We are using both versions of MYOB all day every day.

    May I know how you go about this? Is it showing the correct details on your inventory? Are you still receiving incorrect data when opening your inventory on the browser?
