Search for account code when entering a purchase

When entering a purchase how can I search for the account code via description rather than having to search the account list - i know you can right click and select search panel but it wont bring up and hold the panel i have to change it each time.

    Hi Kristyh1 


    The preference you want is Setup> Preferences>>Windows - Select and Display Account name, Not Account Number. Enabling that preference will allow you to select the accounts by name.
