Ability to make payroll categories inactive

This is a major issue in MYOB for me! 

We have hundreds of payroll categories in our data file from a former business we sold, which I would love to make inactive to save scrolling during data entry.

It would also be great to be able to de-select them in employee cards, which currently can't be done if timesheets have used the old categories.
