ato event update has not worked

Hi

ATO rejected STP due to identity issues and software not being rego with them. Error has been fixed.

Submitted an event update to the ATO to fix the 2 rejected payrolls. (PE 03.07 + 17.07)

Has not worked or captured the STP for these 2 event update states

Ran another payroll PE 31.07 – submitted STP all good.

Tried another update – again not capturing or updating any figure in ATO PAYG

attached my event log in STP MYOB

so I am missing 2 payruns and there is no way I have time to reverse all of that one by one and resend by the time by IAS is due,

Any help out there …..   :O

also to add it HAS been processed and paid to emplyess through an abnk/electonic file.

    Hi

what you need to do is

click on the accepted button on the STP report

this will open up the ato report

there is a ytd report ( in purple)

open that report and compare to the ytd figures

the STP screen always shows what you sent , you need to go into the report to check ytd figures

    Hi

each payroll that you send through to ato will be an update event

therefore , as the issue has now been fixed , the ato reports are up to date

to double check look at the submitted report to the ato and verify the figures are the same as the last payroll ytd figures

    hope that helps

Hi. Did you look at the attachments I sent Lisa. ? The ato account has clearly not captured the past 2 rejected STP as the payg is only showing as $5000   For the 3 payrolls it should be treble that ?

    Hi

In your second screenshot in the right hand side - can you see view employee YTD ?

Check that against your employees ytd figures on the last report sent

You will find that it accumulates in that report , this is where you can verify the figure

Apologies if I am incorrect and haven't helped at all

  • Hi MAC8

As advised by Lisa ( LRBooks61 ) the YTD amounts are updated each time you send a report to the ATO and once you fix the error and reports are Accepted the ATO reports are up-to-date.

Your screenshot of the ATO Portal shows two Event Types, Update Event and Pay Event. pay event will contain a dollar value. and both employee and employer year-to-date totals are submitted to the ATO. An update event won't contain a dollar value and only the employee's year-to-date totals are sent to the ATO. As that screenshot only shows the pay period amounts, not the YTD, I'd recommend following Lisa's advice and checking that the YTD amounts sent are correct.

If the YTD amounts are correct the ATO has been updated and you don't need to do anything else. The Help Article, Fix rejected reports in STP, has detailed information.

Please let us know if you need further help.

Hi. Thanks for the swift reply.

So as stated no the update event has not updated the ato of the past payrolls.

the year ti date figures do not match MYOB to ato.
the first 2 payrolls I believe need to be reversed and resent ? Is that correct ?

Which report are you looking at?

Are you looking at the last report ( top accepted in screenshot pd 2/8)? Have you opened the reprt to find the YTD figures there?

I think reversing the pays are unnecessary

Worst case scenario the figures will be corrected in the next pay run

Also if you look at the YTD reports you need to scroll a bit down to find employee ytd figures

HI Lisa, sorry if i am not expaliing this very well    : (

On MYOB payroll summary our YTD figure (attached) total PAYG withholding is $16728.00

In my ATO , STP there is only $5682.00

The payruns for July 6, July 7 and July 20 - dont appear to have been captured in the update event as the ATO should show PAYG witholding differs to MYOB YTD

Are you scrolling down to the individual employee report?

I don't think you really need to be concerned as the next pay run will correct ytd figures

also the first screen only shows that payrolls info

if you look back on last year's reports you will see that
