EOFY PAYROLL BALANCE ISSUE

Hi Support,

Just balancing EOFY upto May with Payroll in readiness for 30th June and having a couple of issues.

I had 2 employees who left through the year and the Payroll Activity Summary 1st July - 26th May differed from the STP reporting figures.

I made both employees active again by taking out their end date so that they would appear in payroll again so I could do a NIL payrun to force correct figures through BUT

Only one of the employees appeared, not both, and  I have checked that their end dates are empty fin order for them to appear like they are active employees in a current payrun.

Can you please assist with this.

Just to confirm, is the employee not appearing when you are trying to process the $0 Pay run? Or is the employee not appearing in the Payroll reporting centre (STP) once the $0 pay has been processed?

Employee is not reappearing when trying to do a nil payrun. as well as on the STP report he is showing as Nil Gross when he should have around $25K against his name as he finished Sept. 2021

Thanks for confirming that. 

Is this employee on the same pay frequency as the other employee that is appearing? I would first check that the Pay frequency matches the pay run you're selecting i.e. Weekly. (Card file>Payroll details>Wages)

His pay frequency was same as others

I cannot get this employee's name to reappear to do a nil pay run to force through his Gross earnings onto the STP report which is showing zero against his name.

Please check the below images and confirm that the 'inactive' box is not ticked, and the termination date is empty for this employee:

If both of these screenshots match this employee's card file, could you please navigate to 'Process payroll' and select 'Bonus/commission > enter the date range > Next > is the employee still not appearing? 

Both the Inactive box is unticked and the finalisation date is empty.

I cannot get theBonus/Commission to come up BUT if you go to process as an individual his name does come up.

Why does it come up as an individual and not with all the other employees.

Good to hear it does at least appear when the 'Process individual' is selected.

The only time I have seen this happen is when the pay frequency in the employee card is set as something else, like, monthly, fortnightly, etc. 

So if I use todays date as payment date for a NIL payrun this should push employees Gross Figures through even though they left our employment in September???  Do I have to edit the end date on STP and have it blank or is it OK as is with the cessation date
