ETP not matching to STP

As part of the end of financial year checks, we noted that the STP reports did not match to MYOB for one of our employees. This is due to a "Payment in Lieu of Notice" not being included in STP reporting.

We found this MYOB help article: Wrong ETP values in STP reports - AccountRight - General - MYOB Help Centre,

(which describes out situation) however we were not sent an email with a solution by MYOB.

The article advises users to contact MYOB for assistance if they have not received an email. Could MYOB please let us know the appropriate steps to take to resolve the issue?

Thank you.

    Hi Kit1

    Thanks for your post.

When the ETP does not match the STP values of your employee, you may need to:

    • Reverse the original and any subsequent ETP pays
    • Undo the employee's termination
    • Undo the employee's finalisation
    • Record the ETP again
    • Re-terminate the employee
    • Re-finalise the employee

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Hi Kit,

Just wondering if you have had any luck in resolving this issue? I have been on the phone to MYOB twice over the past few days and have had no luck. The first time they said it was a MYOB issue and they were working on fixing their system, but when I called earlier today apparently it is an issue with the ATO's server being overloaded with data. So I am not liking my chances of it being fixed anytime soon.

    Thanks.

    Thank you for your post.

For employee's terminated prior to moving to STP you will need to complete the following steps:

    • Remove the termination date
    • Re-activate the employees
    • Check employee details
    • Send an update event
    • Re-enter the termination date and deactivate employees.
    •

However, if you check all of the steps above and if the issue comes from the ATO server being overloaded with data. I would recommend to check on the ATO.

Feel free to post again if you need further assistance with this. I'm happy to assist.

    Hi Celia_B and Karina4,

Unfortunately STP is still not registering the Unpaid Annual Leave (the payout of our terminated Annual Leave when they left our employment).

We followed your instructions exactly, however the category is still not appearing on either the employee's Summary of Payments  or the overall YTD Verification report. Could you please advise what else we should look into as a matter of urgency?

    Hi Kit1

I am sorry to know that your still having this issue.

In the past two days we are experiencing intermittent issues with our STP but this issue has been resolved today. And we Apologize for the inconvenience.

We have had intermittent issues with our STP during the last two days, but this has been rectified today, and we regret the inconvenience.

Could you please try again to follow the steps in my previous post? Also, please double-check on the pay items used in ETP, to confirm that this is assigned to the ATO reporting category.

Please let me know how it goes.
