June quarter super payment sent to incorrect super fund
Our company processed the June quarter super payment through Pay Superannuation in MYOB AccountRight as we normally do.
We had 28 employees that are in the Australian Super Fund. The USI was correct (STA0100AU) and employees member numbers were all correct. We have paid our super this way October 2020.
We have now discovered that the super payments did not hit the employees Australian Super Fund and instead have been diverted into the Australian Retirement Trust which we don't even have set up in our MYOB File. All our employees have been receiving welcome packs from Australian Retirement Trust. To correct this we have had to email Australian Retirement Trust to recover approx $21k so we can pay the employees correct super fund. After three weeks we are waiting for the funds to be returned.
Has anyone else found that super payments have been paid into an account you haven't requested?
Very scared that this is going to happen again when we pay the September quarter super payments and don't really trust MYOB.
Please can someone help?
